Please remember that tomorrow is a Professional Development Day for teachers so students are off. Enjoy the long weekend!
In morning meeting today, we played "Excuse Me, What are You Doing?". We also talked about what we would like to be when we grow up. After that, we had a math review and math test on picture graphs. In writer's workshop, we made covers for our Ta Da! books. From there, we did some catch up work. Some people have some to do at home. That work is not due until June 3. There will be no homework next week unless you have catch up work to do. This afternoon, we worked on our handwriting books. These will come home when we are finished with them.
Don't forget to memorize the poem for Memorial Day.
Poppy Flowers
by Emily James
When you see a red flower called a Poppy this Memorial Day,
Remember those who fought and died for our country, the USA.
Remember their sacrifice; it is their lives that they gave.
It is because of them we are known as the Land of the Free and Home of the Brave.
